Boat length / Main anchor
in 30
knots wind.
(bottom scale). |
|
Select the right "STEALTH" Anchor and needed hardware for your boat... |
| |
1. Look for the length and
weight of your boat.
2.
The largest anchor calculated is the recommended anchor. For a working anchor use one size
smaller then the calculated main anchor.
3.
Multi hull boats need larger anchors due to larger exposed area to the wind
eye, larger wind resistance, therefore
select one size larger anchor then recommended.
4.
Ground Tackle Force Load (GTFL) Calculated Anchor Size: For
a more exact evaluation for your boats need, you can also provide us with your boat’s unique characteristics and we
know exactly what size MAIN anchor you need.
See
GTFL information. |

|
Tips how to us the anchor... |
| |
For
normal use: Start with an minimum of 3:1 scope
and as weather conditions
worsen, pay out more scope.
Over night mooring: Moderate
shelter, fair holding ground use adequate scope of minimum 5:1.
In a distress situation
(shallow water): Apply a bolt in the angle adjustment hole and pay out 10:1
scope or
more.
In deep water NO bolt needed! |
